MyselfI am a Flowery Branch junior, a varsity volleyball player, and working on my fluency in Spanish. When I was in middle school, I attended DVA, and faced some unique challenges when the time came to adjust to high school, which has influenced my mentorship a lot. I love getting to connect with people through both of my languages, as well as building true relationships with the students I work with everyday.

My mentorshipMy current mentorship is with Ms. Anita Vera in the counseling department of AOD. I love getting to help 8th graders set goals for high school and prepare for their futures, which I do every day. I also have the privilege of tutoring some amazing 5th graders everyday, and it's the best feeling to watch when they finally get a new concept. I have learned a lot about the logistics behind counseling departments, the behind-the-scenes of schools, and the anxieties that current middle schoolers face. In my future, I see the relationship-building skills I've learned being critical to my success in any career path I choose.
